About the Role

A hands-on architecture and code-level role focused on modernizing an existing platform — legacy stack replacement, service decomposition, and standing up the engineering foundations (CI/CD, IaC) that let the team move fast without accumulating debt.

What You'll Do

● Drive architecture for the platform's modernization — decomposing monoliths, defining service contracts, replatforming off legacy stacks

● Work hands-on at both the architecture and code level — this is not a strategy-only or governance-only seat

● Partner directly with product stakeholders to sequence work and surface tradeoffs

● Stand up reusable engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, deployment patterns) for the team you're embedded in

● Mentor the engineers on your immediate team

Required

● 10+ years as a Software Engineer / Architect, with deep hands-on development experience

● Proven experience standing up an architecture and driving its adoption within a team

● DevSecOps fundamentals — CI/CD, IaC, modern deployment practice

● A real replatforming/migration story — moving a system off a legacy stack or architecture

● Strong communication skills, able to translate technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders

● Tech Stack: Python and Go

Preferred

● Experience in consulting, advisory, or enterprise SaaS contexts

● OSS contributions or technical-community involvement

● Demonstrated mentoring of junior/peer engineers
